Interferometers Simulator
This is a Java application which simulates the figure we can see in the screen when we use an interferometer (or a simiral system). In this application you can study the Michelson interferometer, the Young experiment, the Lloyd mirror, the Fresnel prism, the Pohl experiment, the Rayleigh interferometer and the Fabry-Peort system. When you start up the application, you can choose which system you want to study and change several parameters such as the wavelength of the laser. Moreover, you can see the schematic drawing of the system and the illumination on the screen produced by the interferences. This is useful when you want to check data taken from the laboratory. We have done several experiments and the data obtained are almost the same taken from the application.
| (1): Using a Tabbed-pane you can choos which system you want to study. (2): Using sliders and text-areas, you can change some parameters of the systems suchs as the laser wavelength. (3): You can now see the representation of the system and the image you should see in the screen. (4):You can see the explanation of the system (written in spanish). |
